The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is a program designed for campers who have aged out of Camp iHope. This program provides training in the effective use of leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, caring, responsibility, problem-solving, and respect. Skills that will be useful in all areas of life. The training is also useful in preparing future counselors for Camp iHope.
Graduate of Camp iHope or have been a patient or sibling of a patient treated at Medical City Children's Hospital.
• 17 or 18 at the beginning of the camp session
• Must have physician's permission for patient's on-therapy
• Must complete a short essay about why you want to participate in the program
• Must complete volunteer application paperwork and process
Only a handful will be selected for these competitive programs.
